2025 G63

Hi guys - currently top of list to get a 2025 G63... any information on it? Dealer hasn't received anything yet... i will get charged an ADM... east coast dealer but i will fair better than others who dont have as strong of a relationship... no way these will go for msrp! The question is how much of an adm is palatable. dealer said i will be happier than others so i will take that!

also, when i stopped in to say to hi to my GM, i walked out buying a new 2024 AMG GT 53 and the last of the CLS450's... omg... love both... GT insane to drive and CLS never should have been discontinued... feels like a sporty S class which my parents have.

now i got use to MBUX and love it and cant wait to have in new G63.

will trade in my 2022 G63 with sticker of 212k and only 11k miles on it so hopefully will get a good trade

benz is killing it.

Im currently first in line for a 2025 as well. Was supposed to be a 2024 but they cut production short to switch for the facelifts and EQG production as per what the factory told my dealer. Not sure about ADM's as that's an American issue for the most part, but this is the most up to date info on the 2025 so far: https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...g-63-spy-shots

Updates that are confirmed are: It will get an optional semi-active hydraulic system that are in the new GT and SL. It will also get slightly revised front/rear bumpers with what looks like active front intakes that can close for "better" aero. It will finally get MBUX as well with the new AMG steering wheel which I saw in another photo someone took of a test mule.

Another important update could be the G63 getting the same mild hybrid setup that the GLS63 has but nothing official on that yet. Im hoping they just stick with the normal ICE setup for the G63 and if someone wants electrification then you have EQG for that. Also not like MB needs the regulation credits with the V8 axed from most of their lineup and all of the EQ/hybrid models they have now but I guess we'll see.

yup saw this one... should be interesting... hopefully i get a good trade for my '22 63. I think my new CLS and AMG GT have small electric batteries - definitely adds some pep so is that what you mean by "hybrid" setup? My dealer just just got a couple of new 2024 G63's and both sold for $50k ADM with and cars barely sat in showroom. New changes worth trading up to a 2024. I dont think we get the '25 until YE this year

man, i still cant believe they stopped making the CLS... its more fun to drive than the S class

2023 G63
I'm guessing hybrid like a Prius - small battery that is charged by the ICE engine. Not a plug in.

Not sure I'm first in line but I should get a 2025 allocation at MSRP. Dealer is good with trade-ins as well so hopefully a seamless transaction. As always once I take delivery I'll get right back in line for the next one.

The new GT is only V8, no battery on that car. The CLS I think has it. Its a mild hybrid, so its a smaller battery that only provides temporary boost and doesn't plug in and let you drive electric only like a PHEV does.

I really liked the CLS as well but Im sure it got cut due to sales. People aren't buying sedans/sport sedans like they used to and MB already offers a bunch of other similar models. Also they fumbled the most recent generation by not offering it as a "63" with the V8, same thing with the E coupe.

actually my 2024 AMG GT 53 is twin turbo 6 with mild hybrid. Didnt need a 63 on that car. Agree on your cls comments. Great car but odd fit... even the two door S class i loved but sales werent there to support it.

i wasnt sold on MBUX but now that i have it on both my new cars, the G63 info system feels dated

Are you buying from east coast dealer? No adm on new, redesigned G seems like a fantastic deal... my dealer is getting 50k adm on 2024's right now

Just curious about your mild hybrid -- can its auto start/stop be disabled either manually with a push button next to the ignition button, or by shifting into one of the performance modes?

Hmmm
I am on list as well for 2025, one of the first ones.
Msrp only.
But 2025 G63 will be mild hybrid, confirmed by dealer/GSM.

Will see!

Based on the spy photos the new one is indistinguishable from the old one except no more cover to keep the rear camera clean. I am in the midst of trading in one of my 22 G63s for a new 24 and will wait for all the dust to settle and all the gremlins to be figured out and all the ADM craziness to wane before jumping on the refreshed model bandwagon.

Sincerely doubt your dealer/GSM knows for certain. All rumors at the moment. My SA and ordering manager reached out to the factory directly about the engine setup for the 2025 G63 and this was the factory's exact response:

"Good Morning,

MY25 G-Class product planning will begin soon for the Canadian market. We should have information available later into Q2 this year is the current plan. Please be advised MY25 is a “redesign” while of course maintaining the G-class historical aesthetics, the product will grow in technology. We plan to continue to offer an entry and AMG version with also the introduction of an electrified variant. More details to come later into 2024.

Merci, Thank you"

I just read a comment from a top manager at MB who said the electric version will be revealed in the first quarter, and he hinted that it will not be called an "EQG". I think "Glectric" would be a good name - cannot wait to get one, especially since I sold my 2020 G550:

"This is part of the automaker’s upcoming naming strategy. Although it does not want to give up on EQ as a brand, Starzynski said Mercedes’ plan to go all-electric means that adding the two letters to the start of every model will someday be unnecessary.

And that day may come sooner than you expect. The executive revealed that the all-electric G-Class will be the first to drop the EQ-blank naming convention when it debuts in the first quarter of this year."

argh, that new steering wheel is ugly and awful to use. I hope you can change it out for the old style amg one

The Lease of my 2020 G63 is about to end next month with about 50k worth of residuals left. Should I sell to dealer and wait for 2025?

depends on what they're offering you on 2020 and how much you're willing to fork over for ADM on 2025.

I would purchase it! That is a low residual. Message me if you dont want to keep it and I can purchase it for residual + profit.

G550
More confirmation that the 2025 G550 is being downgraded to a V6, which is a real shame as I think the 2019-2024 G550 is the best value G wagon on the market.

https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2...ve-review/amp/

I actually just sold back my 2024 G63 to my dealer for $25k more than I paid for it. I love the G63 but always found my myself picking my 2021 G550 every morning. Would have picked up a 2025 G550 if they kept the V8 in it…

They must be getting close to an official announcement since more info is coming out. And I don't think offering a 6 in the "entry" model is a bad thing but I am still planning to get the electric version.

It is interesting that there really aren’t any interior pictures released yet.
