Question Cleaning Orbital buffer pad

Howdo you clean the foam pads on an orbital buffer after polishing? They are $13 new so I hate to buy a new one each time.

Put them in sink dry....then pour car wash soap all over them.....squeeze them to soak in soap....then put in shallow amount of warm water and squeze out old buffing compound....then rinse very well and let air dry.
