I just left the dealership with a free car wash on my black car... I am sure that I don't even have to finish. Do I need to now wax my car? If so, what kind of wax should I use?

First you'll have to wash, then clay, then polish, then wax. You need an education first to do it properly....but you'll love the results. Go to this site and you'll learn a lot....

Atlanta Classic or RBM?
I make them tape a note to dash....do not wash or wipe down.....also make them print it in work order.

I think you will find that, over time, you will love your black car. IMHO nothing looks as good, if, it is cared for properly. We spend a fair amount of time debating the fine points of caring for black paint but the truth is that, overall, it is not that hard. I've been driving black cars since 1988 and will probably always will. If I can keep the car looking good anyone can. Anyway, in a nutshell, it is important to keep all your washing, polishing and waxing in a straight line/ side to side motion. What you are looking at now is a result of random motions during towel drying. You will find it is easy to fix with a good polishing session. If you have any specific questions just post again and someone will gladly help. Good luck, and happy holidays.

Forgot to mention, don't ever let them wash your car. When I bring mine in for service the advisor just looks at me and says: "Yes sir, we know, no washing." Also, as far as wax is concerned, I like Zymol (www.zymol.com) but there are quite a few here who like Zaino.

I order my Zaino products by phone from Zaino. Sal Zaino usually answers the phone. Lots of info about the products and how to use them at the Zaino Brothers web site: http://www.zainobros.com/
