Vacuuming

Hey guys...since I'm about to detail my exterior soon on my own...I wanted to really clean up the interior...it's accumulated a lot of junk over the years....just wondering what vacuum you guys recommend...
also... the armrest is starting to get really sticky...i've tried cleaning it with warm water and a microfiber cloth...along with other types of towels...nothing seems to get rid of this stickyness... i have not spilled anything on the armrest but i notice itis sticky in the spots where me and my passengers put their arms on...anybody have same problem...any solutions?

I've been impressed with the power and functionality of the Metro Vac n Blo. Its small, lightweight, tons of accessories to get in all the crevices and very strong lift power. If you're looking to make an investment in to a great detailing vacuum this is a great option.

As for the armrest this may have become oily and contaminated from human oils collecting there. This area tends to be one of the most contaminated areas of a vehicle. I've had great success cleaning fabrics, vinyl, plastic and more with the 303 Cleaner and Spot Remover. Its a gentle cleaner thats quite strong and versatile. Everyone who uses this product is usually thoroughly impressed with its power and that you can use it on virtually on your entire interior.

By the way Greg...I am really trying to do this whole process this Thursday (old friend coming into town and we are both car enthusiasts I guess you could say...) and I want the car looking all spiffy by Friday...so today I ran out to a local Kragen's and looked for Carnuba Wax...the closest I got was
Mother's CALIFORNIA GOLD® PURE CARNAUBA WAX. Is this a good Carnuba? (jw how this Carnuba will turn out) I also got EagleOne Nano-Polish for my wheels/rims...would you say the results with this wheel polish is good also? thanks in advance

Kragen Sale

forgot to mention...Kragen's has a sale on a 20ct. Microfiber Cloth pack....it's going for 10 bucks...the worker there just ripped a bag open to show me that the material isnt that cheap...I compared it with Cobra....I say the softness of Cobra is a 10...and the softness of this 20ct. pack is about a 7.5...just putting this out there in case anyone needs some MF cloths.

To be honest its been a while since I last used the Mothers Carnauba Wax and I haven't used the Eagle nano polish. I'm sure both will work and keep your car looking good for Friday. My big concern with the Mothers Carnauba Wax is a lack of durability. This wax seems to last about 2 weeks - 2 months on average. Carnauba waxes in general don't last that long but this one seems to last a little less even compared to other carnauba waxes. Hope your visit with your friend goes well!
