How badly did I screw up???

I have a black CLS55. I washed the car today and then put a coat of Blackfire paint protection (wax) on the car. Then I was going to put a carnuba spray mist on top of it. I sprayed on 1/2 of the hood, wiped around to even it on, and found out I had mistakenly spray wheel cleaner instead. Nasty stuff.

I immediately wiped it off with 2 wet rags.
Put on a coat of Menzerna intensive polish on the entire hood and part of the front fenders to blend it in, rub that on and then buffed it off.
I rewashed the front part of the car.
I reapplied a thick coat of the Black fire paint protection wax.

Did I recover in time? What if anything else can I do? Please don't give me scary stories, just facts and suggestions.

You should be fine that stuff is not designed to cut through the clear coat. Many wheels have clear coats as well that are designed to not be ruined by this type of product. I'm not guaranteeing there is no damage, but I would be surprised to find anything significant. I think a simple wash would remove most of the product, as that is how we remove it when cleaning the wheels. If you wanted to be certain you could wipe down the panels with a clean cloth of rubbing alcohol and water (50/50 mix). The process you did seemingly would have removed everything. Just be careful that you didn't get wheel product on your buffing pad, because you wouldn't want to later spread any more wheel product. Waxing won't really help, if anything it might keep the wheel cleaning solution trapped against the clear coat assuming there was somehow some stuff still on there. However I do think you're fine and shouldn't see any problems. If you see anything different about the clear coat where this happened try and take a picture of it, otherwise you should be fine. In summary, relax you should be fine.
