To avoid adding very fine scratches I'd recommend cleaning it with paint safe materials like a sheepskin wash mitt and drying them with microfiber towels. Using old mitts, sponges and towels will increase the chances you'll add fine scratches. You can further protect the plastic by applying a sealant to them. Just like applying a sealant to the paint, it forces moisture to bead up and roll off the plastic. It also helps prevent abrasions and damage from other contaminates. You can use the Rain Clear Gel or other traditional sealants. Before applying these sealants you should confirm they are okay to apply on that particular kind of plastic. Generally they are fine on plastics but it's always better to be on the safe side. Let me know if you have any other questions.
