Outgrown Turtle Wax - Help!
I am basically looking for guidance on a straight forward treatment program for a new (black) car.
Here is some relevant background information
1) I hand wash it at least once a week
2) I typically wax about every 3 months
3) I dont have an electric buffer and would rather not buy one
4) Beyond general protection, my goals are a good, solid shine without a lot of surface scratches / swirls left behind.
That said, many of the threads talk about a number of products including Zaino, Mequires Gold, PS01, etc. There are also many references to polishes and Waxes and preparing the surface, what to do about clear coats, etc.
Any thoughts in a good path to follow would be appreciated. Details for a specific product you recommend would be GREATLY appreciated. Also, how do I know if my car has clear coat? Thanks!

Anyway use the high quality cotton towels as recommended and the swirls will be minimized.
Also, one other tip I gathered here from someone. Only wipe the car in a back and forth motion following the direction of the wind-flow over the vehicle not a circular motion. This has helped quite a bit as well.
Using high quality application and removal pads/towels etc... seems to be the key.
Also, remember to use very light coats of any Zaino products as this is important.
For shine and durability I have never seen a better product and I have been taking good care of my cars for a long time.
Good Luck.
