There is cracked paint in my front bumper and I want to get this fixed. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and I was wondering if it is a good idea to do the whole process of painting the bumper myself? Is it worth it to take it to a body shop or is this a relatevely easy process? My father who is in the silk screen business and knows a little about painting would help me.

It depends on the color, how big the scratch is. Most metalic colors are harder to work with, My car is desert silver which is a hard color like silver to work with. I recently had a nice size stracth on my bumber that took the base color off..down to the primer, I used a spray can and other products from www.paintscratch.com
