Removing Hard Water spots...

I was wondering the easiet way to do this and maybe any recommendations on products...I have a car that I have to park in the driveway due to space limitations.

Its parked near sprinklers that run in the middle of the night ( I have no control over this) and cover half the car that is facing the sprinklers. I noticed these spots dont come off with a regular car wash and have started to turn a little white..any suggestions?

try clay baring the spots with water spots first to see if you can get it before it gets etched into your clear coat. if it does, you're going to need some abrasive polishes to get them out

When I washed my black car, I used to get spots if I didnt dry it too well. I started using Meguiar's final finish or spray wax detailer. As long as the spots werent there for days and the car was clean, they both work great. I have a silver car now and barely dry it after washing. I just go over it with the spray wax and everything comes off. Biggest problem is letting water spots dry on glass good luck----john

I would try a clay bar first. Before using an aggressive polish, I would also try vinegar-it's very effective. Use the least aggressive things first then step up as necessary.

I would try and start from the least aggressive options and work towards the more aggressive ones. You can try vinegar and a clay bar, which may help remove some of the whitish marks. If the marks are in deep and have etched in to the clear coat you will need to use a polish to remove those marks. I would try the vinegar and clay first. If you can still see a light outline of where the marks have etched in to the clear coat, let me know and we can go over what polishes may best help you.

In regards to the vinegar, any certain way that I need this applied? or just a basic cloth applicator type would do?

After you clay the car (and the waterspots still haven't disappeared), wipe the vinegar on the paint with a microfiber towel and let it work for about a minute then rinse. You'll need to reapply wax or sealant afterwards because there won't be any protection.

If something is still there after the vinegar, that means the waterspots have etched the paint and you'll need to correct the paint with a polish. Start with a mild polish at first.
