I'll answer again, eventhough I probably shouldn't.:p

Anyhow, you do not need to wait to wax a new car. New cars are baked in an oven at the factory. They are cured instantly. Feel free to wax away.

As for zaino. It has more longevity than carnuba wax. Pinnacle and zymol will last about three weeks. Zaino will last 4 months. Zaino has a bright shine, carnuba has more of warm and deep shine. It depends on what look you like and how often you do/don't like to wax.

Cheers!

cotton vs. MF

this is the debate these days.

my take?

if you get a good quality microfiber (like the ones sold at www.microfibertech.com, neatiteams.com, etc.) then you're fine with microfiber.

personally, i use cotton towels made in the USA and MF. i just went with cotton towels bought directly from lazaino.com.

i use a cotton applicator for Z2, cotton towel to wipe it off, cotton towel for Z-6.

i use MF mitt for Z-7 washing, one cotton towel to get most of the water off, one big MF towel to finish drying.

so i guess i use both.

Rock.

wow all great suggestions here! . A quality microfiber towel like the ones suggested are fine, but cotton towels (100% made in USA bath towels) are actually a little easier when removing Zaino. MF is best with removing compound residue and carnuba wax residue cuz MF is great at picking up all the left over oils etc, however it will work fine with zaino! About Zymol being pure... it is pretty much BS. Sure it has like 37% carnuaba content, but carnuaba is a dull hard wax that really provides no shine, all the shine is in the oils in the wax. I think Zymol is a waste of time and money, with some of their waxes you have to melt it in your hands and apply it with your hands!! I think i'll stick to my current products .

Zaino won't damage your paint. Nor will a high quality carnuba. BTW, which zymol do you use? The expensive stuff sold on the net, or the repacked turtle wax sold at pep boys, autozone, etc? The readily available stuff IS turtle wax. Stay away from that. The stuff on the net is good, but it's very expensive. You can get just as good products for a much better price. Blitz, P21S, to name a few.

As for towels. Use only high quality MF. So far the only high quality MF is available on the net. These guys are some good vendors:

http://www.yosteve.com
http://www.pakshak.com
http://www.properautocare.com
http://www.tacscar.com
http://www.microfibertech.com
httP://www.neatitems.com

You can also email Tom Gong (jtintern@hotmail.com) at JT International. He doesn't have a URL, but I know many people who have done business with him. Good towels at good prices.

Charisma's are the only cotton towels that you should be using. You can get them at most dept stores.

Hey- Thanks Much for the reply!
Zymol- I only use Carbon + HD Cleanse- was thinking of graduating to Concours till I read all the raves about Zaino.
Sometimes i use pinnacle- the one for "like" $70.00

I will try the zaino- find it interesting that you leave it on for an hour & I will pick up some new mg towels from mf.com

I have a blk/blk audi- now in a few weeks I take possession of the BLK/Charcoal E500-
I am laready sick over any swirls!
Again tks for the reponse and happy hol;idays

Save your money, don't purchase Concours. The most expensive carnauba I'd ever buy is Pinnacle Souveran (~ $50/can). If you want to stick with carnauba, I'm going to have to recommend P21S or S100 paste wax.

I don't necessarily like Pinnacle over Zaino. It really comes down to personal preference. Both have advantages and disadvantages, and you have to weight both sides and see which comes out on top.
