Hey everybody,

So yesterday, I parked in a Target parking lot and a bird decided to use my 400E as a target when he had to do business...

I got most of the spots off, but there are like 3 spots on the rear quarter panel up by the gas flap that seem to be laminated in the paint!

I don't want to mess up the finish, but I've already tried wax, bug and tar remover, soap and water. It's not coming out.

Any suggestions?

Bird poop can eat into the paint and cause marks that do not
respond to normal treatment.

I have even tried Menzerna Intensive Polish with a orange pad (mild abrasive) and then gone over the spot with Menzerna Final Polish and a white pad and that makes some headway.

If those options do not work wet sanding may be your only option. Wet sanding may not be a DIY project. A trusted body shop or possibily a very good detailer can properly do this.

Using a clay bar will remove some of the particles after you clean the area, but it will not help the "stain" itself.

I wound up leaving a spot and started carrying a quick detailer spray and a microfiber towel for just such emergencies.
