Zymol vs. Zanio Bro's
I need some basic help on Zymol (or any quality carnauba wax based product) vs. Zaino polish. The MB discussion web sites really seems to be very pro-Zaino. On the other hand, the BMW discussion wed sites are very pro-Zymol or carnauba wax products. I own a 2000 BMW 328i and will take delivery of a 2003 E500 Sport in mid Feb. Carnauba products are very different than Zaino (and other brands) polish. Does anyone have a good comparison of the products, what's better and why? Also the pro and cons of each product. I want to do the "best" I can and thought I was with Zymol.... but now Zaino is in the picture for me I'm not sure? Thanks for any insite or references... Mark

If you go the Zymol route, do not get the green liquid stuff which is found in walmarts. Get the Zymol Carbon or something else. I have never been a zymol fan because of their poor durability, expensive products, and lack of availability. I would rather use a quality carnuaba wax (like P21S/S100, Pinnacle Souveran/Paste Glaz, Blitz, etc.) or a quality paint sealant (like Klasse, Zaino, Blackfire 2, etc.). I like these products because they are all non abrasive and can be applied to the paint several times without degrading the thickness of the clearcoat. The paint sealants are somewhat more tedious to apply but they do give a one of a kind shine (esp. Zaino) and last usually 3 months and usually more. A good quality carnuaba wax will hold up for around a month. All the carnuaba waxes listed are very easy to apply, unlike Zymol. Zymol is a carnuaba wax too, so don't expect awesome durability because of the high carnuaba content. The high carnuaba content doesnt really mean anything. Hope that helps!
