when washing, do you guys use the recommended amount of car wash ? or use just half of the recommended?
i read in an article that it is better to just use half of the recommended car wash solution ....because too much car wash strip wax ....?

Moving to the Details forum. Perhaps you will get some more responses here.
I always thought that most car wash soap was designed NOT to remove wax. Also, if you used less than the recommended amount, I would be scared of losing some of the lubrication properties in the soap.

Using a proper car wash shampoo won’t strip off your wax, Meguiars gold class car shampoo is the one I always use and it won’t strip your wax even if you use double the recommended usage I think. If you do want to strip your wax, you can try dawn washing liquid.
