Hmmm. I have so much stuff in my garage from all of the product testing, I'm embarrased to say.

Griot's Speed Shine - it seems to float the clay better than most. I might try somehting new when this gallon runs out.

PS21 wash - doesn't stip wax as fast as others

Carnuba wax (various pure varieties, they all are about the same for me)

Micro wash mit and towels.

I wash as needed and clay every 1-2 months followed by wax. (good therapy) I never have to use polishes or abrasives because I use an ocean of water and soap to float the dirt off and clay often.

BTW, I'm thinking of switching to Zaino on my new cars.

zaino for the last 2 years

I have had great success with the zaino products and now that I am used to them I would have a very hard time being convinced to try anything else. The durability is a big plus for me as the winter here in the NE can be rough and the zaino lasts through the times when a good washing is not an option.

Regards to all...

The detail shop down the road!

No really, when I do it myself I use Meguiar's 3 step and terry cloth towels of some generic kind from the auto parts store. I also use generic polishing pads. I refuse to pay the kind of money Griot's etc. wants for towels and polishing pads and stuff. I never have used clay or anything. I like my car to look clean, but I don't enter car shows and my car is an everyday driver, so I don't car if it's exactly show room condition. I wash often though with a lot of water.

Been using Griot's Garage products for about 8 years now. It's the best stuff that I've found. Doesn't put an oily shine on, but simply looks like new.

Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax
Griot's Garage Wheel Cleaner
Griot's Garage Tire & Rubber Cleaner
Griot's Garage Vinyl & Rubber Dressing
Griot's Garage Glass Polish
Griot's Garage Leather Conditioner
Klasse All-In-One for Cleaning/Polishing wheels
Griot's Garage Car Wash
Griot's Garage Fast Shine
Griot's Garage Paint Cleaning Clay
Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner
Mercedes Benz Insect Remover
Mercedes Benz Tar Remover
Griot's Garage Microfiber Polishing Cloths
Griot's Garage 100% Cotton Polishing Cloths
Unbleached, 100% Cotton cloths for general wipe-down (door frames, etc).

I've never heard this mentioned here, a lot of people are clublexus think the Griots leather conditioner is almost like Leatherique- or was it some other one called Surflex, can't remember.

I use
Meguires Gold Class wax- good enough shine for me
Turtle Wax 100% Carnauba Blend
Meguire's Quik Wax Spray (works pretty well)
Meguire's Scratch-X
Meguire's car shampoo/soap- whatever it's called
Zymol leather conditioner- which doesn't do anything at all
And all of the towels and crap and stuff
