Clear Bra
I am thinking about getting clear bra for my 2004 CLK 500. What is your opinion about clear bra and how much did you guy pay for? Also if you know anyone who does the installation in Northern California, please let me know.

2020 S560,14 ml350, 03 sl55, silver, pano, slr cams, evo headers, lsd, 2019 s63 cab.
paid 650 for each sl locally then was quoted 325 for jag xk8 from invictashield.

my black C320 has a clear bra, do a search and ull find tons of pics. I got the venture tape clear bra, 595 installed.

AlBoston do you have the clear bra over the zaino? If so do you have remove the clear bra every time you apply zaino? I've been think of getting the clear bra but was to sure about how it looks over paint sealants.

the clear bra is permenant, u can not remove it... it is glued to the paint (actually it can be removed, but it is a process). No wax/sealant can be applied under it or it may cause issues with the bra. With that said, I have applied several coats of zaino on TOP of the bra and paint and it looks amazing! People don't even notice the bra unless they are looking for it.

When I bought my CLK the dealer thru in the Perma Plate. I was thinnking of stripping it off and starting over. How hard would it be to remove? Then applying a clear bra and lastly apply zaino. But I'm not sure because they did give me a warranty with the Perma Plate. What do you think would be the best to do?

I would do the same thing ur thinking. Clear bra is great imo. Here is a pic of the clear bra on my C. This is the first day i took the car home, no wax or anything on the paint... this was taken just after washing it.

So that's what the clear bra looks like. I've been hearing about this thing for a while but hadn't seen one. How well does it look in person? Does it begin to fade or turn yellowish with time?

It looks great in person. Remember if you are standing right on top of it of course you will be able to see it (1ft or closer). The product looks great from five feet away you would be hard pressed to see it. The product should not yellow or fade overtime what so ever. Some companies offer a lifetime warranty for cracking, fading adn/or yellowing - Stongard and Rockblocker to name a few offer this.

The product has a clear coat finish on it so if you wax your car then wax the bra as well. It will look as good as you take care of it. You can use products like Zaino with no problems.

Hopefully that helps out a bit

i have a product called ultrasheild on my trailblazer. it is nearly invisible on the vehicle. i have had it a year, and it is still working great. the key is to have a experienced person put this stuff on. i would recomend this for every car. i plan on putting this on my 96 e320 i just purchased. if anyone needs this in florida, pm me and i will get you the number of my guy.

where did you get it installed? using invincashield installer?
i found the kits cheap on autosupermart.com but i guess install is higher priced.

if you are in the Tampa area, go to Bill @ Alley Cat Customs. he has great prices and is top notch. some of these places are fly by night and slap this crap on there, but others actually get training to do it right.
