wrapping the hood of a w208. adhesion promoter necessary?
I am going to be wrapping the hood of my W208 CLK with carbon fiber vinyl. The clear was peeling off the hood, so this is much cheaper than a respray for a road warrior like this.
I've sanded all of the old clear off the hood, cleaned and primed the whole thing.
What I am wondering is since the w208 has some fairly deep contours in the hood above the headlamps, should I use some 3m tape primer 94 in that area or will the vinyl adhesive be plenty strong enough?
