Any other thoughts here? I have a ton of water spots (stage 2) on my silver SL55. I tried the clay bar with detail spray and it made only a slight improvement. Anyone try the clay bar with the vinegar solution?

I was able to get rid of all of the water spots by doing the following:
1 - Clay bar (didn't make any immediate difference, but set me up for step 2)
2 - Buffed the car using 3m Perfect-It II Foam Polishing Pad Glaze (this removed all the spots) - http://www.autogeek.net/3mperswirmar.html
3 - Full Zaino polish process
Based on the other info on this thread, I had stage 2 spots and can happily report that they are completely gone!!

I posted about this when I first joined the forum. I can only say it worked for me many times. Try it on a small area of the glass and if you have success do an adjacent area. Repeat with small areas until you are satisfied with the results. Current cans of Bon Ami specifically say not to use on glass. But if you can't get it off any other way then what do you have to lose? I saw this on Motorweek 20 years ago. I went to the local Chevy dealer and the parts guy didn't know what I was talking about, but he did find it on the shelf. I can get Bon Ami in my local Kroger. Read the directions on the GM box in the photos.
