Mr Clean Autodry Carwash
Don't laugh! I was in the auto parts store and the salesman pointed this stuff out saying that a lot of people liked it. So, for $20, I thought why not give it a try. It actually works pretty well and the car looks good. I wouldn't put it on the Benz but for some other car which you want to look decent with a minimum amount of effort, it doesn't seem like a bad way to go.

I thought that the car that I used it on looked just a little less bright and the shine didn't seem as deep (I gave that car the Meguiar three step treatment a couple of weeks ago . But, it was streakfree and quite glossy -- just not as bright as before. But then, it could just be the lighting. It was overcast yesterday when I used it and raining all day today.
If it passed muster with you, Al, it must be pretty good.

The only decent thing I see about the Mr Clean system is the filter it uses. Filter the water and it makes it softer. For areas with hard water this will result in less spoting from drying water.
In my next house I am going to install a soft water filter inline with the main utility water. This way the whole house will have filterd soft water.
