![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I spray a little WD-40 on a cloth and wipe it on my power antenna twice a year. I've never had any problems with this, but last week I was talking to the neighbor (corvette owner) who says he had never heard of doing this and thought it was completely unecessary. Anybody out there have any opinions on using WD-40 to keep the power antenna in good condition?

I’ve used WD (Water Deterrent) 40 on multiple makes / model year of vehicle antennae’s both power and manual without any problems. It provides lubricant and will not allow moisture to penetrate causing corrosion

WD-40 and EasyLube
Thanks for all the responses! I'll keep using the WD-40 and I think I'll also give the EasyLube a try. I've been using WD-40 since I was a teenager. I was copying my grandpa who used to rub graphite oil on the metal moving parts of his cars. I've never seen graphite oil for sale anywhere though, so I figured WD-40 would work.
