JamE55-were you there at the Irvine Spectrum this weekend? the silver C32 AMG had it on his front end. it was totally noticeable and the fitment of it was not all that great. i don't know who did it for him and if that is an isolated incident.

i've been thinking about it since it is a very good idea, but seemed kind of pricey and now i'm leaning against it.

I got the headlight protection and its ok.

I don't know about having that line go across the hood...put on the vertical surfaces such as the bumper - I think it would be worth it.

Look at XPEL also - same material - a little cheaper.

Hey M Brabus!

I didn't know you were there?? What car were you driving? Anyways yeah i saw the C32 with Stoneguard on it and it looks ok. I mean it'll protect the paint and everything but not really sure i want to go with it.

JamE55-the stongard line was very noticeable going across the hood of that C32. it also seemed more "yellow" than i expected. also, the film did not seem to be cut very well around where the fenders and hood meet, headlights area.

i definitely think it protects the paint, but i'm not sure the cost/benefit and "look" is there. i'm not convinced it is the "best" solution.

my buddy has a colgan bra and that may be a option for those road trips to vegas or down the 60 frwy. another way to consider this is that the repainting of the front bumper is a "maintenance" item. just need to budget several hundred bucks every other yr to have the front bumper repainted by a body shop...

my car was parked in the right rear corner of the C32 (silver, Brabus E class)

I put it on my wifes new Audi A 4 3.0 . You can hardley see it and it will look a lot better than paint chips.

She drives on the highway to work . Here in New England, salt and sand make a mess of the front end.

I `m a detail freak. My 1991 SEC is not used in the winter, no chips. Her last car 1999 C280, brillant silver, was a mess, and the touch up paint didn`t match.

If you live in an area like this I think its a no brainer.

Have a stonguard clear nose bra on my 00 Acura TL and am very glad I did it. Seems like Acura cut corners on the # of paint layers and I picked up some hood chips in the first couple of weeks. Since I had the nose bra applied, it has not yellowed and is very difficult to notice. Also easy to care for.
