Stoplight derby: CDI downs a V10 Toureg TDI
Lined off with a V10 TDI toureg. He saw my CDI previously and vice-versa.
Anyway, had my window down. That V10 sounds very unique, all you hear is turbo. I'm surprised I even saw a TDI toureg, they are discontinued and very rare.
He gave it a good run.
I put an instant 1/2 car length at the hole, and steady pulled on him. By 75 MPH I had a good 2 buslengths on him, and shut it down.

FYI... TDI Toureg coming back next year. Unsure if it will be a V10 or their V6. Anycase if it comes, I'm dumping my X5. I'm a officially a diesel lover.

Is there something official from VW? I talked to the dealership last week about them and of course the said no. But as we all know that doesn’t mean that they know what there talking about.

check out www.clubtouareg.com for info on the release, if i remember what i read correctly there will be both a V6 and V10 TDI

OK checked the specs on the V10 Toureg....310HP and 553 lb-ft. 0-60 test time of 7.5 sec, so I'm supposed to be able to beat it and "downing" it is no big deal. It's heavy...6600 lbs.
What really caught my eye...only 493 were ever imported so it was indeed a rare sight.
