Temp Reading

I have a 1982 300SD Turbo... just had the thermostat replaced... what should the temperature guage read while driving 60-65 mph on the freeway in an outside temp of 80*..... A/C does not work ... need to have that repaired so do not run A/C....
2. How long should it take to get to that desired temp...

thanks all

It should reach 80-82*c (175-180*f) within 10 minutes of starting (when being driven, not at idle) and stay there until you stop the engine.
