Air Filter/Intake Upgrade on '99 e300 turbo
Recently I've moved to a place out in the mountain west with a much higher elevation.
Wanting to get more air into my 1999 e300 turbodiesel sedan.
Are there any good options for this please? Thank you.

In general, maybe in a few weeks, looking at sending the ECU to a shop for reprogramming w/ better settings and then a tighter waste gate.
Any advice or stories of experience welcome.
Also any warnings of "What Not To Do" welcome too.
Thanks, Ugly
ps: nice forum. Can't believe I did not find this sooner.

No, Mercedes is a VERY sophisticated auto manufacturer and they've designed an air intake system that DOES NOT strangle your engine.
Despite what aftermarket peddlers say, most don't.
All you can do is make it worse in some aspect or another.

Don't worry about your air filter. It has more than enough airflow capacity for your engine.
The turbo will automatically make up the power difference for any higher elevation.
