upgrade possibilities 1987 300sdl

upgrade possibilities 1987 300sdl
hello, as this is my first post, i wanna say hi to everyone.

for my question, i got a 87 300sdl with a busted headgasket for a whiles now. 150k miles and still runs. is it worth rebuilding this motor or getting a better motor. also wat performance upgrade is possible wit this car?

That is one of the most powerful PRE-CDI motors that Mercedes built.....You could add an intercooler to get it to 606.962 numbers

There are people in Finland that have gotten that engine to 300hp+.
