Question overdrive

found a Gear Vendors overdrive at the junkyard. Has anyone put a OD unit on a 350 SDL? The 603.97 engine is fragile and I don't know if if has the guts to do this with out running out of power or blowing a gasket.

1987 SDL; 2001 Chevy 2500HD CC, 8.1L, Allison special order; 1970 GTO LS2, 4L60E, under construction
Don't know what adding OD would have to do with either... Should save quite a bit of wear on the bores and bearings.

It won't harm anything. Good luck tying to make it fit though.
