Just Installed the BRABUS D6 III
Check out my first run on the track with the new setup.
As the caption states in the video, traction is a problem.

Here's a clip with a couple quick pulls...

The Charger is a real pig too... But I guess they weigh about the same...

I may have mentioned before, my Jeep weighs about 4,740lbs at the track. Considering stock times for the 3.0L in this vehicle, cresting 14's is actually quite commendable, even if I do have to 'toot my own horn'.

Not any faster than a 2500HD truck with a big block or modded diesel. And those go 6000+ lbs... If you're looking to impress with track times, you're short. If you just wanted to see what it would do because its different, mission accomplished.

Rob,
Some questions for you...
I thought you were running the Bully Dog setup... Did you switch over to the Brabus? Where did you get it from? Did you pay full retail price?
Also, I noticed in your video that your Check Engine light is on... any idea why?
You have some kind of logging device on the right side of the gauge cluster... Is that one of those EDGE modules that gives you engine parameters from the OBDII port?
Is 35 PSI the boost you are getting with the Brabus unit?
Goatman... Maybe you are not impressed... But I am. Something tells me that his diesel Mercedes engine is already faster that 99% of the diesel mercedes owners posting here...
Rob, keep posting up... You don't have to break some kind of record before you are "entitled" to post.

I've never run the BullyDog, only for personal reasons. I've used the following power-adders in this order:
1) TDC PowerBox CR http://www.tdc-technologies.com/
2) TDC PowerBox CR+
3) BRABUS PowerExtra D6 III http://brabus-usa.com
I later stacked the BRABUS and TDC+ together which created a different powerband altogether. The initial torque was very rapid but the top-end seemed to suffer if only slightly.
Now I'm running the BRABUS exclusively and have been very happy with its performance.
The check engine light is present because my DPF is not. I'm still digging around to find the right resistor that will resolve the issue. If/when I do, I'll post up.
The logging device is a "DashHawk" www.dashhawk.com. It merely watches the PIDs (sensors) you specify and can give warnings for those IDs based on the triggers set by the user. It also tests performance characteristics such as 1/8 and 1/4 mile, and fairly accurately at that.
The Brabus unit is providing the "boost fool" pushing the pressure up to 35psi (converted from MAP kPa).
Though I don't (yet) have it listed here, my TDC+ is for sale.

My own ignorance? LOL. Its slower than a Hyundia Genesis at double the money and half the comfort.
Talk about setting a money pile on fire... At least the HD trucks you can work and haul.

You've done little more than compare my Jeep with other vehicles completely out of its segment.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe? -Are you smoking something? We're talking about a 5,000lb vehicle with AWD and a 215hp diesel engine... Try comparing apples to apples.
When equipped with the OM642, the Grand Cherokee has a tow rating of 7,400lbs. The only reason its not rated higher is due to the rear suspension [insert "utility"].
I suppose the Hyundai comes with a standard class-IV hitch too?

Nope, but the first vehicle I mentioned does... Funny how you ignored that part of the argument....
Still a slow turd, no matter how you slice it..

A 3/4-ton truck is not in the same segment as a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 Diesel
With the setup, it really should run a 14.7 or better. The Jeep has some real traction problems with 500+ tq. -Go figure.

I've had the Jeep dyno'd. It's about 450, actually. The main reason is for due to the TCM's torque governor.
The TDC CR+ (if that's what you're talking about) is a great bang for the buck. In my experience the CR+ has ***** way down low and off the line that hit hard; the Brabus has a nice overall gain throughout the band.
