Hi guys/gals..pretty new to this, but a 300SD fell in my lap and I'm pretty sure I need a fuel filter. I don't really have time to order parts from Germany, do I have any options? (compatible fuel filters?) Who carries them?

What makes you think you need a filter?
Good filters such as Mann, Knecht and Mahle are avail at many parts houses, online and always at the dealer. Walmart probably has cheapo Chinese knock offs
The primary filter is the lil plastic inline filter, the secondary filter is the spin on canister that looks like an oil filter.
The 3rd component of fuel filtration is the tank screen; each componet in line catches smaller particles.

Go right on down to your local NAPA store and get them from WIX. They work great!
