Does anyone have any data on this?
The power and torque seem adequate, but, the "Chippers" claim a substantial increase.
Is it safe to do this?
Yes, power and fuel economy will improve because aftermarket tuners aren't concerned with meeting strict emissions standards and long-term engine endurance.
At the moment I only have 12,000km (7,500 miles) on the clock and just under 2 years warranty left. I would wait until the warranty expired before doing anything.
However, the power gains, PLUS, the economy gains - for the price - sure make it tempting.
I hope you have plenty of time and enthusiasm to keep improving. It must be a nice feeling when it all comes together though!
