Poll: High mileage. How many miles on your diesel?
I took my new to me '95 E300D with 287,000 in for a state inspection to the local independent Mercedes repair shop. The owner/mechanic was amused/impressed with the amount of miles on the car. He said they only have one car that comes in with more miles (a '99 E300TD at 325,000).
How many miles are on your diesel? I'd also be interested to hear if/when people started to run into major issues (i.e. needing the engine or transmission rebuilt). While I have faith in the engine, I have to wonder how much longer the transmission is good for (shifting is a bit rough).

1983 300SD 325,000 miles,same engine,trans,drives like new,on 2 tank wvo setup.70,000 miles on veggie.

These older diesel are fine with veg.Newer I'd run Bio,change hoses,and o rings to viton.
