'87 300sdl Oil Light Comes On

87 300sdl
'87 300sdl Oil Light Comes On
My '87's oil light keeps coming on. Plenty of oil on the stick (not above high mark) and oil pressure is normal / the dash gauge.Any thoughts?

If the car has an oil pressure sensor , I would replace it.

1982 300D VNT, 1980 240D 3.0T, 1982 300TD
The light is for oil level, not pressure. That said, I agree on replacing the sensor.
