yellow nightmare

I am getting 'check engine' problem. I am getting this message while I am driving and it stays up to 2-3 road trips (or a few days).

I am wondering if the problem could be related to contaminated diesel or some water in tank (I am trying run almost until the tank is empty but ..).

I have changed ALL filters (air, fuel,...) 15,000 miles ago and I don't think they are bad ...

Do you have any idea about next step ... ?

Have you tried to read the code that is stored? If you can get access to a OBDII reader and read the code then maybe you can determine what the problem is or what is causing the CEL.

See you are in Canada, here in the US some autoparts stores (Autozone) will read the code for you if you don't have a code scanner/reader. You may have some also.

The water in fuel filter warning light is not a CEL in my 2006 E320 CDi. It looks like a contained with ripples in it and comes on when there is too much water in the fuel filter canister. Most CEL are emission equipment related.

I did scan today and I got those codes

2038-002
2668-002

(check component G3/2 - O2 sensor upstream to KAT/TWC).

it could be related to my Kleeman KD Box due to it's related to oxygen sensor

If I have problem with water in tank - can I add something to 'burn' water. On my gas engine, I used some 'gunk' but not sure if it's working for diesel.

any help ..?

Diesel Kleen will help get rid of the water in your tank. I think the company is Power Service, and here in the States, it is available at most PepBoys and Advanced Auto Parts stores. Also, most truck stops will also carry it. I would use the full 32 ounce size in your tank. Add it first then fill up to get it mixed well. That said, do you have any idea how much water is in your tank? If it is excessive, you may have to have the tank drained.

It could be my 'problem' I put Diesel Kleen AFTER each fill up (0.5 lit per tank - ~16 oz). I am not sure if I can put more than that ...

I am not sure about how much water but I am trying drive until empty tank and take as much as possible water out.

What makes you think you have water in the fuel tank. Not one thing you have said leads to that conclusion. You pulled two codes, neither of which seem to indicate water in the fuel.

My limited knowledge is telling me that if you have water in tank it could make 'explosion' which it could kick some of the sensors.

Let's go from this angle: what is making O2 sensor to fail ? I am driving 90 % highway, take care of car and I have only 90,000 km (60,000 miles).

The O2 sensor would be a good place to start in my opinion. That would certainly cause your symptoms. While not common, i have had them go bad after only few thousand miles. It is not unheard of for one with 60K mi. to go bad. Let us know how you make out.

For now, I reset memory using STAR diagnostic and I am waiting for next occurrence. I think my next stop would be dealership due to it should be covered by extended warranty.
