Fuel line primer

Does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket fuel line primers? the older diesel mercedes used to have a hand pump to get the air out of the line, which was very useful.

My '97 300d doesn't have one, and I was wondering if anyone had tried installing a primer into their line.

Thanks,
Art

Why would you need to routinely remove air from your lines? If you have leaks then you should fix them by replacing the o-rings and/or fuel lines (common air ingress points).

A hand operated vacuum pump like the MightyVac is handy for pulling fluids, but is normally only needed during maintenance/repair activity.

Your fuel delivery system is different from the old smokers. Put a primer in and you will really screw the system up.

That is false information. A primer would in no way affect operation of the vehicle.

Anywhere on the suction side of the fuel system. The lift pump has built in check valves that will help its operation.
