e300 diesel
fuel pump installation
I just changed my fuel pump on my E300D, '97. The installation was pretty straightforward, but I wonder if the plunger ( seen on the right side in the picture) needs to be fitted into the crankshaft in any particular alignment.Any thoughts?

You will do fine or did fine----the fuel pump is driven off an injector pump lobe. There are no adjustments. Good Luck
