New mounts for E320CDI 2005
Just had to mention, changed engine mounts today WOW ! Had forgotten how increadibly smooth this engine now is. was getting progressively worse shake while stopped in gear-then started shaking in neutral too.
also no sign of oil leaking from old mounts, and they did not look colapsed.
I changed both from below using a swing head ratchet, no need to remove right engine bracket. Just elevated engine like 1/2 inch with jack and pulled engine (rotated) a little bit to left side with pull strap to top front lift eye. The strap keeps raised engine level on both sides---that is the trick for same clearance both sides!
