How to remove the fill up pipe restrictor?

I was filling up W124 diesel straight from the big truck pump nozzless and did not have even to go slow.
On W210 diesel, I had to use funnel, but it work OK.
Now on 320 Bluetec it is getting very annoying.
Not only restrictor has very small hole, with flapper deep under the neck, so funnel has to have long extension, but the pipe foams a lot, than gargles -occasionally spitting some foam back.
I was checking the restrictor, but it seems to be spot-welded inside the neck and it is 2-stage where the flapper behind is not accesible at all.
Anybody found the way to get rid of the gizmo?

OK, no other ideas, so short of chiseling the restrictor out, I build a funnel with hose extension that has max diameter that will fit into the restrictor hole.
I hope the hose will go below venting connector and prevent gargling.
Not the best solution as hose is still much smaller than the fill pipe, but should be big improvement to fuel spitting back.
Plan to drive to truck stop in about 10 days, so will report back.

It isn't often, but when I do get stuck filling up at a fuel stop that has nothing but LARGE diameter "truck filler" hoses it is frustrating both on my 211 and on my '05 Duramax. Nothing says "you stink" like diesel fuel spraying backwards onto everything in range.

Can't help but wonder whose little bit of brilliance it was to put those restrictive holes in the filler pipe, but I'll bet there was a lawyer involved.

If you figure out a way to make it go away, post it up!

Did a test with gas cans today and the modify funnel looks promising.
I did turn the can upside down for full flow and all the fuel went with not even a drop spilled.
Can't wait till I test it with "big gun"
Will post the results with picture then.

The funnel with flex pipe extension works perfectly.
The only trouble is storage it after use as diesel drips for long time.
I cut a piece of 4" drainage pipe and put the funnel in it, while having some paper towels at the bottom.
