Oil pan leak.

I have a slight leak from my oil pan. It seems to be coming from whatever this is. Is this a sensor of some sort and is it common for this to leak?

Is it 642 engine? Would be nice to know.
No it is not common, but things happen. I think it is temp senor. Wash it and check if the leak is on the seal, or the sensor body.
Buy the part before next oil change.

If there's a perfect place to have a leak, that would be it. New sensor and crush washer and you're good to go....

I had exact same problem on my om642. I only had to replace the copper washer. Careful installing the sensor back in to make sure the threads go in correctly or else you'll be needing a new sensor.
