Brake light comes on but pads are good?

I have an e300d and recently the brake lights have been coming on. So I checked all the brake pads and they all look almost new. What's the problem?

I assume you mean that the pad wear indicator is coming on. They tend to come on a bit early to my taste, about 3/16" of pad left. It is also possible that one of your sensors is defective. Did you try to reuse old sensors? If so, the insulation on the tip of the sensor wire likely stayed in the old pad and the wire grounds through the new pad, setting the wear indicator off. You can determine which sensor is setting off the warning by unplugging them one at a time until the warning no longer comes on. Replace that last sensor with a new sensor wire.
