Any high mileage bluetec experience?

Dear MB Forum colleagues, we're looking into purchasing a 125,000 miles first owner GL350. I normally go for naturally aspirated big v8 MB's, but this particular vehicle looks like a good deal. Any one of you has driven a GL350 well over 200000 miles on the clock? What is there to expect with a high mileage bluetec?
Your input is much appreciated. Thanks
Dutch

What year? (So far, the facelifted X166s seem to be trending better than the earlier ones. Knock on wood.)
That said, a disproportionate number of potential issues will revolve around the emissions systems, or as side effect of the emmision systems. MB did all sorts of crazy things to meet targets.Since it’s one owner, a very detailed review of the maintenance records should give you a good idea of the history. Common issues may include the airmatic suspension, bluetec tank heater, and various oil leaks—some are very minor and others are BIG trouble. Pay particular attention to the oil change intervals as sludge can be an issue when exceeded due to side effects of the DPF re-gen, particularly if biodiesel is involved.

The OM642 engine comes with week oil cooler seals, that cost couple bucks in parts and couple thousands bucks in labor when you don't DIY.
Than at higher mileage intake flaps need cleaning. If you get years with DEF, than you face another expenses.
I would compare it to SBC brakes >>> good performer but costly maintenance.

Thanks so much. Your answer encourages me to stick with my original plan to go for a naturally aspirated gasoline with some good displacement :-) Thanks so much!

Difference being SBC brakes have literally tried to kill me multiple times, but when my 642 breaks is seldom worse than limo-home mode. I’ve got the worst of the SBC issue, it’s a different kind of natural or not so natural amphetemine. I’m pretty unshakable, but I’m pretty sure my pulse went up slighybduring traffic type SBC failure.
