blue tec dead after 118k
So has anyone had any issues with there blue tec engine dyeing after 118k? My gear on the crankshaft broke into pieces and was laying in the bottom of my oil pan. MB said they would cover half the parts. I am still out $8322.79 for a faulty gear that should of never broke. Take $8300 and throw if out the window!

Sounds like OM651 engine?
We need more info? I have one of those with 182k and runs perfect, beside DPF issues.
Who changed oil in yours?

all service was done by Mercedes of buffalo NY. Never missed a service and if something was recommended by the dealership, it was done. Just a faulty part put in by Mercedes when the motor was built.

What faulty part was it?
We do have some reports about OM642 bluetec seized, what conclude that dealers tend to use oil they have in barrels. not the new-era oils Bluetecs need.
But this is first report about seized OM651, so don't hold it back, please?
