om642 IN 09 GL 320 STARTS MISFIRE UNDER HARD ACCELERATION
Drives perfectly until you get on it at any speed. Starts to miss (cyl 5 P0273) and you need to pull over to side of road or continue with miss and much reduced power. If you turn off engine on side of road and restart it will run perfectly again until to push it and you repeat the process. It starts perfectly and idles perfectly. I have full engine emission delete performed on this vehicle and have been driving it over 7000 miles with no issues. This just cropped up this past weekend. Would i have a failed injector ? ? ? Don't know where to start.

What's the mileage?
Advanced scanner will tell you fuel delivery amount for each injector and then will do simulated compression test aka smoothest test.
Those can be performed in just seconds from comfort of the chair, while keeping hands clean.
Than knowing what injector gives you a trouble, you can take it to diesel shop for checking spray pattern (some members manufacture their own tester).
Injector leak test would be the last resort for me.

Been awhile and have put this slug on the back burner since last October. Have done all types of updates on the engine - swirl flap removal, egr removal, new turbo center section. It is still exhibiting the same symptoms. on call for more torque or revving above 2200 rpm we go into limp with codes 13fe13 140200 misfires on the same 4-5-6 cylinder bank. It is currently at the local Mercedes dealer and the tech there is stumped! I have gone as far as relocating a new ECU and having it reflashed with the Malone tune and the results are the same. The fuel flow exercise suggested before was done and it passed and the compression is in specs according to the tech at the mercedes store. Any information or suggestions will be appreciated.
