OM642 High pressure fuel pump installation

Does somebody know how to install high pressure fuel pump on OM642 engine? Does it needs adjustments or timing? According to WIS step 10 "Position piston of cylinder 1 on crankshaft to ignition TDC" Does this mean to put crankshaft pulley to TC position?
Also is not clear how to adjust position of drive gear relative to high pressure pump in step 20.
I had leak on camshaft plug, so I removed the pump, but now I have problem to install the pump because the manual is not clear and I don't want to damage the engine with stupid mistake.
Attached is WIS document

The pump delivers constant pressure, so technically doesn't need any timing.
I still would follow WIS as there might be different factors in assemble.
#20 tells to position teeth vertically.

How to set piston of cylinder 1 on crankshaft to ignition TDC? I hope I don't have to remove engine head just to set TDC.
