I took a couple hours to tear down in order to get to a suspected oil cooler leak.

Are the exhaust bolts on the Y pipe on the turbo Hot Side accessible from the Top If I remove the plastic transition piece by the wipers? Or do I jack the car and try to come up from below?

Compressor clutch froze up ultimately forced my hand to address the oil leak, is the AC compressor best worked from below? Anyone ever have luck say on a Sprinter just replacing the clutch or does everyone just throw on a new complete unit?

As far as the AC clutch goes, presoak the 7mm bolt (its actually part of the compressor shaft) with the best oil penetrant you can. Inspect this bolt for corrosion. I attempted to take it off and ended up rounding off the 7mm and even after holding it with a vice grip, its down to a tooth pic. If I were to do this now, if inspection would reveal a lot of rust on this 7mm end shaft, i would use vice grips from the beginning.
you can work on it from below and above but since you are in the middle of oil cooler job, removing the serpentine belt and the tensioner will give you the best shot at it.(from the top)

Removing turbo everything can be accessed from top. The wipers mechanism and water deflector needs removing to get this access.
