Ok, I got a letter today from MB extending the warranty period to 10 Years/120,000 miles today.
No idea what this pressure sensor is or part #.
So I called my dealer, guess what, they did not know either, they are going to research it and get back with me soon.
Searched the forums, E250 and GLK250 which I have, no joy.
Note: The letter indicated both the OM651 and OM642 engines on the E, S, GLK, ML, GLE and GL classes from 2013-2016.
Anyone else know what part(s) are being warrantied?

Got some more info from my dealer.
A0009052706
Pressure Sensor - Mercedes-Benz (000-905-27-06)
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor
Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Diesel, EGR valve & related components.
Pressure Gauge Converter
Previous # 009-153-52-28
Most interesting point here, that part is now considered discontinued by MB. My dealer is still doing some checking on what may be the replacement information.
Digging on my own, per online parts, that part does not fit either of my OM651 engines, only the OM642.

The sensor is still available on amazon
even Husker - my favorite dealer shows it as disconituned as well.
Did not hear about those sensors failing and considering their low price and easy access - should not be a big deal either way.
than it looks like updated replacement is even cheaper

Going by the part numbers listed, this is the exhaust backpressure sensor that lives by the EGR sensor and not the DPF pressure sensor.

Does this extension stem from the diesel lawsuit MB settled which provides 10yr warranty after re-tune?

durley, Noted that you pointed to another PS than what was call out by my dealer on the letter indicated PS. One you pointed to is for the DPF. One PS by my dealer stated for the letters I received was on the EGR which is located on top of the V-6 OM642 engine. I haven't been able to locate a PS on the OM651 EGR area yet to see if that they are the same or replace by the OM642 sensor. Nor have I contacted my dealer again, but the letter does imply the the PS are common between the engines. My dealer part manager stated even though the part # indicated is discontinued, they still can be ordered? Also other than for some sites on the web the newer version is obtainable.
kajtek1, In my research, I agree, haven't seen one post on requiring an EGR PS required to be replaced of it going bad. But MB has changed the part # for some reason, could be for a minor reason and not for failures.
And again, my OM651 engines do not have any issue related to either EGR or DPF (knock on wood
), I just wanted to know what the letter was all about and where the called out PS was located so I would be more informed. As it appears, not too many PPL know to much about the letter or part yet, nor does it appear to be a hot item even to be worried about.
