I have found service bulletin # LI03.20-P-048278
It is a fix for the ticking after an oil change.
I understand that the top half of the front main bearing has to be replaced.
Mercedes have improved the design to be less soft I guess.
The bulletin outlines the replacement procedure and then references different colour of bearings with different numbers.
This is the part I dont understand.
How to determine the correct one for my engine.
Am I supposed to plastigauge the front shell somehow or is there some way of determining which is the correct colour?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just a wild guess, but I'll bet the old bearing will have paint marks on it.
