ERG/BlueTEC: Cleaning?
We bought a used RV a few weeks ago from a private seller in Wisconsin. It has a 2016 Sprinter chassis/MB diesel engine (33K miles) which was included in the BlueTEC II emissions recall. I have learned a LOT about this issue in the last two weeks since experiencing a severe failure of the ERG while driving on the interstate to a camping trip. Yes, a couple visits and repairs at two separate Mercedes Benz dealership's Service Departments. I'll cut to the point. The "solution" to our ERG failure was cleaning the valve. I would like to hear first-person accounts from anyone who had their ERG cleaned. How any miles driven since cleaning? Additional ERG failures after cleaning, etc?

I recall last EGR I had to clean was on 1980 Chevy engine.
Never happen to me on over a dozen MB diesels I drove in last 25 years, but then I am strong believer in "Italian tune-ups" and floor it from time to time when entering the freeway.
Your AEM warranty suppose to cover EGR? What happen?
