Hi all,
(I posted in the W212 forum and just discovered the diesel form, so here I am) Newbee here - I recently purchased a used Mercedes W212 E250 4matic with 122K miles on it. I have a question about the MPG, and hope someone can maybe answer it?
So, every time at the fuel pump, I put ~18Gallon of diesel, but it only goes for about 400miles. I use it as a daily commuter from home to work (30min drive, ~15 min freeway, and ~15 min local, no traffic). Does this sound normal? the average MPG I got as shown on the car is 35.6, and my commutes generally get somewhere around that (sometimes I got ~40mpg). However, if I do the math, I should be looking at ~600miles on a tank of gas, but it only gives me ~400miles. Any thoughts? I'm a pretty mild drive, no hard brake or accelerations.
I just have the vehicle serviced at MB dealership, and I was told the AdBlue was deleted on the car (which should not affect the mpg). No check engine light, although it does show up on two cold mornings, but disappears soon after the restart.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated!
