2007/2008 E320 Blue Tec

It doesn't have SCR system, so less worry, but still had oil cooler, where $7 seals can easy generator $2000 labor cost. So check if they were done.
I am not aware of 2006 diesels making it to America, but 2005 was inline 6 cylinder.

The following were done other than regular servicing at the dealership, changing rotors/pads (Akebono pads since 5000 miles and replaced rotors (OEM) and Akebomo pads at 85K miles, 2022)
1. 2014: Changed front Stabilizer/Sway Bar Link; Right Front and Stabilizer/Sway Bar Link; Left Front
2. 2015: Changed Control Arm & Ball Joint Assembly; Thrust Arm, Front Left Lower Front and Front Right Lower Front
3. 2016: Changed Brake Light Switch (although was not required)
4. 2020: Changed Steering Wheel Position Sensor
5. 2016: Repaired (self) Glow Plug controller (took it apart and repaired the internals)
6. 2018: Transmission Conductor Plate issue: I ended up replacing the entire valve body just to have the latest version, solenoids etc. (I'm crazy but the car drives even better)
7. 2022: Replaced Glow Plug Controller with latest updated version (self) after unintentionally having dealership replace all 6 glow plugs (what a waster of money but now I have new glow plugs)
Have not changed oil seals etc. since the leak is virtually non-existent and I don't feel the need, perhaps I got away with it so far.
SInce I moved to the pacific north west from the north east, I hardly drive the car and intend to keep it for many more years to come.
