1st problem since AEM—egr codes

Took to Dealer and they started working on it today, went in with engine light on and codes were egr related. Will keep forum updated when I find out what the problem is. ARM done about 1 1/2 years ago and 20,000 miles ago. 2014 M” with 125,500 on it now. Was running bad at low speed when warm. Dealer has been great so far, hope to have it back by end of week. I’m guessing if egr bad it will be cleaned, not replaced. More later.

USA MB dealers "don't do cleaning" - they can offer replacement only.
I heard EGR are on back order, so good luck.

Should know in a day or so, the cleaning word was used is all I can say. Problem is, wait for unknown number of day/ months or get it cleaned and get car back. Both would be covered for rest of warranty time and I may trade before that time. Hate to because I love this ML!

Stay tuned!

Update on EGR issue, copy of invoice below with part numbers. Must be a remanufactures EGR valve because core had to be sent back. Haven’t looked up all the numbers but even a cooling hose was replaced. Going on trip tomorrow and will be interested to see how it drives. They give me new 2023 loaner car and deliver and pick up. How can one not be very happy with this kind of service!

CUSTOMER STATES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, vehicle has intermittent acceleration issue at slow speeds after engine is warmed up. Vehicle has bluetec warranty. verify issue and
verify coverage?
Cause: took apart the egr valve and found alot of build up and it needed to be replaced. Correction: replaced the egr valve and cleaned the connections. and installed new egr gasket

Yes replaced free under AEM, I looked up each part number and what I call pcv valve was also replaced, they call it bleeder valve so that was a nice surprise. No mention of why. Coolant hose and of course some gaskets. Taking trip today so will see how it runs. Previously it ran rough at low speed when warm and c engine light came on.

Sounds like warranty milking.
I had it on my Sprinter, who I took to the dealer with single exhaust temp sensor code.
They replaced $5000 worth of parts, including almost whole SCR system.
