Question Possible to Copy/Paste ECU files from one to another?

Hi fellow forum scavengers, I bought a C6 Multiplexer and will have the XENTRY in the next few days with Vediamo and Monaco. The Multiplexer has not come in yet but will soon. Now my main use for it was to code modules/sensors, read and reset CEL, reset AdBlue counter along with other fun things.

My Dad has had a 2008 ML320 CDI for the better 5 years now and has been loving it since ownership, and wont stop talking about his mileage increase after he did his DPF/EGR delete and engine remap to these changes.
He just bought another diesel to the family, go figure its a 2008 E320 "BLUETEC" (not actually a Bluetec its the year they changed the name but its got nothing of the Bluetec 2009 and up have it). He wants to do the same mods ASAP to get better Economy and so it runs healthier.
The 2008 ML320 CDI and 2008 E320 BlueTec have the same engine and transmission, he has tasked me to find out if it is possible to modify the E320 with the Programs/Hardware I will have to make it the same as the ML320.
After doing some research I think its possible to Disable EGR and DPF with XENTRY.

Now I was wondering if its possible to save a Backup ECU file from the current E320 and than copy the ML320 ECU file and paste it on the E320 ECU, that should technically modify it to the same as the ML320 including the DPF and EGR delete in it.
Is it possible to modify and read the ECU with the setup ill have? And is it possible to copy paste the ECU from the ML to the E class?

Any XENTRY/Vediamno/Monaco experts please let me know.

I had it done on my sedan when I was reversing DPF delete.
Used ECU are pretty cheap, when I know great guy in California, who has skills to do it.
But I am fully beware that this is job way above my skills.

We have a guy locally who can do it for a 500$ charge, but he is pretty much just going to Copy/Paste the ML file onto the E class one. Im wondering if the tools I have have the ability to do so.
