I purchased a used 2015 ML 350 Blue Tec which is an approved vehicle for the field measure test. However when I use the MB website to search my VIN it stated that it is not recognized. I found other 2015 ML 350 Diesels for sale on the internet near my area and I checked their VIN’s and they all qualify for the Field Measure Test (even stated what was changed and at what KM the work was performed) is there a reason as to why my VIN is unrecognized? I really want the extended warranty (right now I have an exhaust temperature sensor check engine light which is covered under the warranty) but then under my engine hood there is a sticker saying that an approved emissions modification was done… so it’s conflicting to each other. At this rate I can’t get any work done under the extended warranty because there is no info or paper trail of what the KM’s were or what was done except this sticker under the hood
I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but the sticker indicated the AEM was performed in May of 2021, therefore, you have 2-years left of the warranty (I think it's 4-years).
If you really want the paperwork trail, ask your dealer who "dealer code 3930" is and inquire with them for the information and paperwork.
I appreciate the response. I know dealerships are sticklers to providing free services especially under warranty. They will debate that there is no mileage history or its not on their database. I do find it odd that on the panel it says it was done on May 2021 but it's not listed on the MB BlueTec VIN look up?... I just checked 8 identical vehicles in my area and they all have information on the website. Very odd.
Have you inquired at the dealer? I made the mistake of having the closest dealer to me do the AEM and after they jerked me around and did a less-than-satisfactory job, I drove a little further to a different dealer for work to be performed under the emissions extended warranty. The only thing I had to produce for them to be able to validate that the vehicle was covered under the warranty was the vehicle and its key. That said, it is awfully strange that your VIN isn't coming up there.
I’m Canadian so I used the canadian mercedes website to search for the vin, I have also tried the USA site but still the VIN was not recognized..

if anyone encounters this problem that I had it appears that my car had the field measure test done but it was not recorded on the website. All is good for me 2 more years of warranty and 60,000km to go.
